Clinical Immunology
Clinical Immunology is a specialty of Microbiology that is based on the study of the immune system (organs, tissues and cells) whose function is to recognize foreign elements giving an immune response.
In the Immunology laboratory section we can analyze:
- Alterations in the physiological functioning of the immune system, autoimmune diseases, hypersensitivities, immunodeficiencies. For example, Celiac Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, among others.
- Recognition of antigens or antibodies when we face bacteria, viruses or parasites. For example, Sexually transmitted diseases, CRP-COVID, among others.
